Dad for a decade

It’s been a very special day in our household. Today marks a decade of ‘dadhood’ for me. Emily turned 10 today.

I was looking through some photos a couple of days ago, remembering what our little girl used to look like. Things change so fast. I won’t say that it seems like yesterday that she was born, that seems a lifetime away, (and of course for Emily it is) but she has certainly grown up very quickly. She’s gone from being the cute little girl with a head full of curls to become a confident young lady that is well liked and a pleasure to be around.

I suppose the next decade will be very interesting. What will the next 10 years hold? I’m not dreading the teenage years, in fact I’m looking forward to watching our girl turning into the young woman that God designed her to be. Emily’s beautiful, talented, intelligent and she’s very much the kind of person that I’m honoured to know and proud to call my daughter.

They say that girls grow up to become more and more like their mothers. With that in mind I’m more than confident that she will continue to delight us with her inner beauty and dazzle us with her stunning attractiveness.
